I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the chair of Circular Engineering for Architecture (CEA) at the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatic Engineering, at ETH Zurich, conducting research on the development of digital tools towards a circular built environment.
My research interest is enabling (semi-)automated environmental assessment for circular and sustainable buildings in early design stages using digital methods, such as Building Information Modeling or Large Language Models. Currently, his role in the SWIRCULAR project involves the development of automated generation of Digital Product Passports using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
I finished my Ph.D. about „BIM-based semantic enrichment for environmental analyses using Large Language Models“ at the Technical University of Munich at the Chair of Computational Modeling & Simulation with Prof. André Borrmann in 2024.
I am holding a B.Sc. in Engineering Science at Technical University of Munich and worked for Drees & Sommer in Energy Design and Sustainable Building consultancy, afterwards. I then pursued his M.Sc. in Energy-efficient and Sustainable Building with distinction at Technical University of Munich focusing on BIM-based life cycle assessments.
Besides my research, I was managing director of the TUM research center of Digital Methods for the Built Environment (Leonhard Obermeyer Center) coordinating several professors and industry companies in research and teaching.
